Summer Camp Paphos, Cyprus

6th July 2015

Sea Adventures & Capture the Flag!

Today's schedule for the Adventure Camp was the same as that of last Wednesday with the groups switching activities; those who were orienteering and participating in the team map challenge last week, went sea kayaking and coasteering in the impressive Pegeia caves and vice versa. The English Language students had their classes at the hotel, today's lessons included some acting dialogues and fun vocabulary games. In the afternoon we offered rock-climbing again given the strong demand from our enthusiastic campers, there were also the arts & crafts at camp while those who chose to go the beach had the chance to enjoy a yoga session with Stefanie and finally there was free dividing with Tania, for those who wanted to learn some useful tips such as ear de-pressurization that allows for a much deeper dive.

Following dinner, the Evening Activity was Capture the Flag at the full-size football pitch close to Polis. Eric, set up the game and run the activity in a way that kept our kids very involved and passionate till the end. They got to run a lot, use their brains and cooperate with their teammates in order to achieve better results. The team who won was made up of the counsellor groups known as Poseidon and Aphrodite competing against Zeus and Apollo, more importantly everyone had a wonderful time and went to bed satisfied with another great day behind us.
