Summer Camp Paphos, Cyprus
Brilliant Beach Day & Night Hunter
This morning 2 of our Adventure Camp groups went snorkelling around and swam into the spectacular bat cave where they were able to see hundreds of bats hanging from the ceiling, always an amazing experience! The other groups were playing beach games and enjoying thrilling banana boat rides. We also had campers canoeing and some who were trying stand-up paddling, everyone had a fantastic morning!
In the afternoon there were 'Sign-Up' activities at the hotel and various other locations; we had a group rock-climbing, another one playing pool volleyball and other games, there was a rugby game and finally a group of campers (including all the language students) were at the beach for free diving, swimming and beach football. In the evening we had the exciting Night Hunter game at the Pikni forest. The campers were divided into 2 teams and their mission was to carry their neon or pink straws from the one side of the forest to the other without getting caught by a staff member hiding in the darkness and using a flashlight to catch them. The pink team manage to get 57 straws through while the neon team won with 63. Michael, the Camp Director was the most successful night hunter with 40 'arrests' while Andreas had 30. The pink team got their revenge by winning the stomp-clap competition which was the last event of the evening before returning to camp and heading to bed.
