Summer Camp VDC Singapore
It's Special Friday Time!!
Hello VC followers,
Well today was SPECIAL FRIDAY and all activities were based on our INTERNATIONAL theme. The day started with the parade of nations where the whole camp paraded through the cafeteria in our international colors waving flags and celebrating our diversity at camp. Then we separated into our groups for the day's activities. The Mini Campers made diversity hands, got their faces painted with their national flag and then went to Olympic gymnastics. In the afternoon they went on an Olympic hunt looking for the missing Olympic flag and gold, silver and bronze medals.
The Leadership Camp created their own games and then played them. They then joined the rest of camp in the afternoon.
The Intermediate, Senior and Language campers participated in the WORLD GAMES in the morning. Campers were split into 4 continent teams (New World, Europe, Africa and Asia). Their first objectives as a team were to create a flag, answer questions about the world and some team challenges.
After lunch the campers did the ALL CAMP RELAY where the teams had to pass a baton from station to station throughout camp. The relay started in the pool and went to all specialist areas and ended in the gym. It was a fantastic race with twists and turns and laughs all around. Camp finished with a closing ceremony where the campers presented their dance and gymnastic routines to our camp theme. It all ended with our staff and campers performing an international medley waving flags and dancing to 'Waka Waka'.
There were goose bumps a plenty by parents and staff watching this spectacle. Daily videos were shown, goodbyes made and a promotional video for the Super Heroes and Villains theme for next week. It was a wonderful and unforgettable week for both campers and staff.
