A Full Day of Adventure with a Beautiful Finish

We started our day with the beloved ropes course. Campers were fitted into harnesses and then unleashed into the trees above. Thanks to the instruction and encouragement of each other, every person pushed through the physical challenges of the obstacles and completed the varying, dynamic courses. Many even overcame their fear of heights, staying in the trees longer than they had planned or could ever imagine. Good job, guys!!

Next we all went back on the bus and headed towards Glacier 3000. After arriving, we took two gondolas up to a height of almost 3000 km. We walked the first and only suspension bridge that connects two mountain peaks, taking us to a look out point, where campers enjoyed a 360 view of the surrounding Alps as well as the glacier below.

To top off the day, we thought it best to have a debrief with another impressive view-- no other than the Leysin-famous, Prafandaz! We climbed to this picturesque picnic area where campers watched the sun set over the beautiful Lake Geneva. The changing colours and soft lighting made it perfect for the campers to get that instagram perfect shot, but also to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature in the company of each other. With a bonfire already started, campers had the opportunity to eat banana boats and roast marshmallows because what's a campfire without s'mores? Afterwards, we broke into pairs, where every camper was challenged to open themselves up to someone they had yet to get close to. It was a moving experience for all.

With the chill in the air and the fire dying, it was time to head back to the hotel for a good night's rest.
