Summer Camp YPO-JLU
Down The Chateau D'Oex and Lasertag
After a night of Disco, all campers woke up ready for the new day ahead. In the morning they all learned about how to spot a lier, leadership, and respect. David Allen currently owns or co-owns several small businesses including a pub, Video hire, Tombstone Services and a camp.
In the afternoon all campers participated in another canyoning experience. Although, the original plan was to go rafting, but due to the lack of rain the water levels for rafting were too low. This canyoning experience was exciting as the campers encountered deeper pockets of water within the canyon. They used a variety of techniques such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping and swimming. In the meantime, other campers had the choice to stay behind participating in activities such as Archery, and zip line.
Later at night some dark clouds started to gather around the valley. There was rain announced in the weather for the night. Hence, the forest activity was changed to Lasertag. All campers were excited as lasertag is a team where players attempt to score points by tagging targets with a hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. This event was held at LaserGame Evolution in the Heron Park of Villeneuve. This was a fun and energetic teamwork evening activity to let campers' competitive spirit shine under the black-light and pumping music.
