After a restful night in the mountain hut, all campers gathered for breakfast to enjoy one last time the wonderful view of the mountain. From afar in the distance campers were able to get a glimpse to their next destination, The Skywalk as well as Leysin. When finished breakfast, all campers were ready to resume their journey. Without further ado, everybody started hiking and they encountered a breathtaking lake with a majestic view of the mountain. Once there all took a brief rest, picking up flowers, looking at the fish in the water, or just contemplating in awe to the view.
After hiking, all campers arrived at the base of Glacier 3000. Everybody enjoyed a gondola ride up this glacier. As soon as campers arrived to the top, they had the unique opportunity to walk on the first and only suspension bridge to connect two mountain peaks. This Peak Walk connects the View Point peak with the main peak Scex Rouge (about 5 meter higher). The 107 -meter long and 80 cm wide bridge offers a stunning view onto the Alps. The Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau can be seen from the View Point platform. Unfortunately, the view was covered for the most part by clouds. The campers did get glimpses of the valley below as the clouds formed up the mountainside. The group were not disheartened at all and loved the experience of being up in the clouds.
After returning to the Hotel all campers enjoyed dinner, a short magic show and once again prepared but this time for a night of music and dance at the Disco. It is a custom of JLU to celebrate new friendships, unforgettable snapshots, and a timeless Summer at a local discoteque. This facility is part of the Swiss Hospitality Management School where the music booms and dancing is no longer optional!
