Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain

25th July 2017

DAY 9

After the warm up, the Surfers went to the water, the waves were quite big today, and the kids raised the challenge and did very well.

Today in Spanish camp we took advantage of the facilities and had an on-site bread-making lesson. Students learned how to identify ingredients in Spanish, kneaded their own dough, and ate their finished products. While they waited for the breads to bake, they took a tour of the farm and learned the names of the resident animals at Complejo Campano.

In adventure camp, the kids kayaked to the "Castillo de Sancti Petri" a castle built to protect the Spanish south shores from Napoleon troops. The campers had also the chance to do some snorkeling and discover the diverse marine wildlife of Cádiz.

After lunch and All Camps Meeting, the campers had all the afternoon to prepare the International Night to represent all the Camp Countries.

Finally at the International Night, all the Campers had the chance to represent their respective countries. The performances were impressive, they included, history lessons, dances, acts, songs and more!
