Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain

DAY 3

Today in Spanish camp we learned about the different Spanish celebrations, like the Semana Santa in Sevilla, La Tomatina, los Sanfermines and other famous Spanish celebrations .

At "La Barrosa" beach, the surfers got used to the strong waves, the weather was ideal for surfing, all of them had the chance again to catch more than few waves. 

Indoboarding was on the Adventure program. Kids got the chance to balance themselves on a plank that was set on a tube. after enjoying a fresh fruit snack, we took a boat that took us to a new beach. The kids climbed over to the dunes for some cardio-intensive races. At the dunes we were also able to do Sand-boarding, followed with some body boarding on the beach.

At horse back riding camp, the horse riders started with some art of crafts painting the horse soles and got to keep them as souvenirs. Today they learned the "Volteo" (Equestrian vaulting) an ancient technique most often described as gymnastics and dance on horseback, they worked on their balance, attention and gross motor skill practising their individual and team skills and routines.

 

In the afternoon, it was again beach time at "La torre del Puerco" beach, we had our usual volleyball, football, body-board and skim-board, as well as water games in the sea. 

Once at camp after dinner, we had our murder mistery evening, the perfect team building game to end a magnificent day. Campers worked in teams to find clues, gather information, and attempt to become the top detectives and solve the murder!

  • Breakfast: Cereals, choco cereals, muesli with fruits, muesli oatmeal) turkey ham, bacon, orange juice, "pan con tomate", butter and jam, yogurt and fruit
  • Lunch: Chicken sausages, rice, "guiso de patatas con ternera", vegetables, tomato sauce, salad (tomato, lettuce, beetroot, carrot, corn, Spanish olives and pickles) watermelon and yogurt
