International Guest Speakers
Undoubtedly, the quality of the international guest speakers specialising in leadership that are flown to the York Camp from all over the world continues to be a major factor in the success of the highly acclaimed LTC programme. Here are some of the speakers who have addressed LTC campers in recent summers, some of whom will be back for 2018:
Kerry Max Cook (USA)
Kerry is an extraordinary man with an extraordinary story. His presentation is riveting as he goes through his life explaining how someone else’s mistake and a travesty of justice cost him over 20 years of his life in prison for no reason. Kerry’s story is to be made into a film.
Alfred Eden (South Africa)
Alfred is from Estcourt, South Africa where he is director of Greystone Camp & Adventure Centre and co- director and founder of Challenge Tours which runs exceptional Leadership courses for school and corporate groups. He gives a fascinating presentation which our LTC groups find quite absorbing.

Accommodation, excursions & activities
Leysin campers usually stay at the Village Camps' Swiss Alpine Centre but the Leadership Camp is based at the nearby Alpine Classic Hotel where the unique LTC programme has exclusive use of its lounge and recreational amenities. The Hotel is well situated close to the main village of Leysin and to the excellent sport and leisure facilities. The comfortable bedrooms are for 2-4 campers all with en-suite facilities. The Leadership Camp has its own dedicated programme of lectures, discussions, events and activities but on the weekend usually joins other campers for exciting excursions chosen from Geneva, the lakeside town of Lausanne, a chocolate factory and the Water-Park in nearby Aigle.
Further details on the excursions and on the activities available at the Leysin camp can be found in the "Country Switzerland Overview Pages".
