Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

Today was an absolute scorcher! The morning kicked off with the Red's of to the Quarry to do some rock climbing, they learned how to tie themselves in safely with the figure of 8 knot and practiced their climbing skills. They put their efforts in climbing to the best of their ability, following the safety instructions and having fun, pushing their limits. While some other Red's joined the Mountain Biking specialists, Aymen and David, to enjoy a ride down hill through Leysin, and after had a water fight.
The Greenies had left on their Mountain Hut Hike to La Combe, with a ground braking record of less than 3 hours to get there, an absolute golden star for every single one of them ! They found their little cabin with the red shutters in the middle of the mountains. The counsellors prepared them some spaghetti and while they waited, they played a game of recreating the picture they got, as a group from their tortilla chips. Group Y made a triangular Football and Group X decided on a different approach by making a 3D triangular mountain range, in the end, they all enjoyed a small snack before dinner time. Settling in for their stay in a massive bunkbed.
The Blues had a COOL BLUE DAY down in Villeneuve, where they had some paddle boarding on the lake and to finish off the evening, they made a BBQ.
In the afternoon some of the reds had a go at bobsledding! Feel the Rhyme! Feel the Rhyme! Come on everybody! It's Bobsled time ! Cooooool Runnnings! While the Yellows had another go at rock climbing! Some reaching beyond their abilities and climbing to the very top.
A storm was approaching, Thunder was roaring and lightning was shining, with some bad news along the way, The Zing Tong King had stolen the princess and took her away to the woods. It was the Princes job to save her and get her home safely. So the Yellows split up into 2 groups, The Red Princes Army and the Blue Princes Army. They marched into the woods, with the roar of thunder, only to find her trapped, where they had to search the woods for lots of gold to pay the King to release the princess. But, what they not expect was an ambush from the Zing Tongs, they came from within the forest, dressed in black, making sure that neither the Blue or Red prince saves the princess, so that the King could keep her all to himself. Every time a warrior was hit by a ball of flour by the Zing Tong, they had to drop all their gold, only the Princes of each colour had the power to revive the warriors. They ran around the forest, protecting each other and searching for gold. In the end, The Red Army gathered more gold and the Red Prince fought the King and saved the Princess, bringing her back home safely.
P.S. Our little Yellow, Gabby had her Birthday Today, A very special birthday cheer from all of us at VC and may all her dreams and wishes come true from her secret friend! We are so happy she choose to celebrate her very special day with Village Camps.
