Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
First day of camp is here!
In the morning the Greens got creative and played Animal Safari in the Village Camps building and had a town tour of Leysin where they enjoyed time in the village playground. The Yellow, Reds and Blue Adventure campers headed down to the Dell forest where they spent their morning getting to know each other with some awesome Team Building games and finished off with time around the fire.
The STEM Robotics campers had their first day exploring the world of robotics, paired up they were challenged to build and program a simple wacky walking robot to give them a glimpse of what is to come in the next 2 weeks of camp. Our French and English Language, Dance Camp, and Film Academy got introduced to their classrooms, counsellors and fellow classmates.
After lunch, the half the Greens headed down to the Suchet forest and tried their hand at Archery with our fantastic Archery specialist Naceur and the other half caught a bus up to the quarry where they took on rock climbing! In the Raging Red Race Off, the campers were taken to the beautiful Prafandaz view point and split off into tribes and competed in various relay style races and games, before having a huge water fight with sponges and cups. The Yellows were treated to a tour of the town and a fun afternoon in the sun with the Big Yellow activity, while the Blues had fun on a slip and slide baseball game in the ultimate Big Blue Activity.
In the evening it was time for our brave Greens and Yellows to save our camp in one of our favorite game "Terminator", it's up to the campers to shut down all the robots released in the building before everyone is captured! The Reds spent their evening session playing Survival in the Suchet forest, while the Blues were dodging and weaving in the gym during a friendly game of Dodgeball.
- Breakfast: French toast, cereals, juices, fresh fruit, toast
- Lunch: Spagetti bolognes, tomato sauce, rice, spring rolls. soup, salad bar, fruit salad, lemon tart
- Dinner: Beef ragu and tofu tomato sauce for vegetarians, polenta, pasta, sauted carrots, coconut chocolate cake, salad bar, fruit
