It's International Night!
International Night is finally here! Just under two weeks ago VC Leysin opened it's doors to almost one hundred campers coming from all over the world, in the time since then we have come together and shared all kinds of games and new experiences and learned a great deal about each others cultures along the way.
To celebrate this today is a day dedicated to sharing the traditions, culture and cuisine of our home countries.
This morning the Reds, Yellows and Blues jumped straight into some adrenaline fueled fun with the Blues heading out for a morning of rafting on a river with everything from peaceful calm waters surrounded by stunning scenery to raging class 3 rapids that would test their team work and endurance. The Reds and Yellows had an equally action packed morning as they hopped on a train to Aigle and spent their morning whizzing through the trees on an awesome High Ropes course while back at Camp the Greenies were hard at work getting the last of their preparation finished for international night.
In the Afternoon the campers joined their Team Mates in a friendly game of Capture the flag whilst others prepared skits or met with our chefs to spend some time in the kitchen putting together some incredible dishes.
Dinner tonight was a delicious buffet of foods from all over the world prepared by our very own campers with foods from Greece, the United Kingdom, the Arab Nations, the USA and more! Afterwards it was time to watch the fantastic presentations that our campers had been preparing over the past few days. Everyone who took part did an amazing job of sharing the dances, traditions and humor of their countries!
- Breakfast: Croissants, Cereals, Fruit & Fruit Juice
- Lunch: Pizza, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Soup, Salad Bar and Fruit
- Dinner: International Night Buffet with foods from all over the world, including a huge salad bar
