Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

19th June 2013

An Fun Filled Day in Leysin.

This morning everyone was greeted with a beautiful sunny day. After breakfast the Adventure Camp, which includes some of the Yellows, Reds and Blues went climbing in the quarry. Everyone was up for the challenge of reaching the top. They were all kitted out with hard helmets and harness'. Each group then got taught how to Belay and how to climb and how to descend correctly. Everyone had a great time and were eager for more. Meanwhile to Greenies were out playing games and learning archery.

This afternoon the Blues went on their Blue Hike up the mountain. At the top they were able to witness the stunning views of Switzerland. They were definitely tired out by the end of it but everyone had a great time. Elsewhere the yellows were taking part in a variety of activities including climbing, archery and the gym. The Greenies took part in face painting and also were giving the opportunity to tie die t-shirts, which is always a bit hit. Meanwhile the Reds were taking part in either tennis, bouldering, mini-golf, swimming or squash.

After dinner the yellows and greens went to play Extreme Games which included a variety of different games that involved team work as each team were competing against each other. Also the Blues and Reds headed down to football pitch. The choices were football, volley ball or baseball. Everyone had an awesome evening and really enjoyed the games.
