Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

18th June 2013

A Brilliant Day in the Sizzling Swiss Sun

Its the second day of camp and everyone is settling in and making friends. This morning the Adventure camp which included some Yellows, Reds and Blues went to the forest to create a shelter using only fallen or dead branches and leaves. There were 3 teams and everyone in the team had to be able to fit inside. Afterwards they sat around the campfire and made Chocolate Bread. Meanwhile the Greenies had an exciting game of tennis.

This afternoon the Reds signed up to either go Bobsledding, Archery and the gym. Everyone was able to learn new skills and having the opportunity to try something new. The Blues had the options of tennis, mini-golf, bouldering, squash and swimming. The Greenies were involved in an activity course called Parcour through the forest. And the Yellows were doing the Big Yellow Activity which included games such as Squirrels, Battleships (with water balloons), Vortex and Gagaball.

After dinner the Yellows and Greenies took a walk up to Profandaz for a camp fire to watch the sun set over Lake Geneva. They toasted marshmallows and chocolate biscuits and they also played a variety of games. Then they had a lovely walk back to camp all tired out ready for bed.
