Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

18th July 2011

The Rain Will Not Stop Play.

The rain has eased off and it looks as though it may clear out.

The Greens started the day by getting creative in the art room, they made monster book marks, fridge magnets and cartoon strip. The sports campers showed off their skills with basketball and baseball, the language campers continued with their lessons and dance camp were practising their performance for the end of the session. The Yellow adventure campers took a bus down to the sports centre where they had fun scaling the indoor rock face and the Red and Blue adventure campers set out on a hike up the mountain and spent the night in the mountain hut.

After refuelling with lunch the activities continued. The Blues hiked up to a small Swiss cheese factory, the hike wound its way up the mountain and the reward for reaching the top was cheese and ice cream. The Yellows and Reds had a choice of loads of activities for the afternoon including bouldering, climbing, football, mountain biking, swimming, dance and many more. The little Greenies had spent the afternoon in the beautiful village of Leysin and in the gym.

The evening held even more fun for our campers, the Blues had a cook out where they enjoyed a meal cooked on the fire and marshmallows. The Reds headed out to the pitch to play football and the Yellows and Greens played a favourite game of one of their counsellors called Terminator.
