Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

19th July 2011

The Rain is Holding Off.

The rain is holding off for now, there are clouds in the sky but the blue skies might brake through.

The morning started as usual with the tennis campers setting off early to get down to the courts on time. The language lessons are in full swing and the dance campers have been fine-tuning their steps. The sports campers had a morning of tennis, squash and swimming. The Red adventure campers packed up their camp out then hiked backed to the hotel from the mountain hut, the adventure Yellows learnt how to survive in the wild and the adventure Blues were climbing in the quarry with Big Mike. The little Greenies had a go at archery and there appeared to be some budding Robin Hoods in the group!

The afternoon had even more fun to offer our campers. The Yellows had great fun searching around the village on a photo scavenger hunt. The Reds and Blues had a choice of many activities including pod casting, swimming, mini-golf, outdoor living skills, dance, kick boxing and tennis. The Greenies set out on a hike up the mountain, there destination was a small fromagerie nestled in the hill side above Leysin.

In the evening the Greens camped out, the Yellows had a small shopping trip through Leysin then hiked up to their cook out, a BBQ and a chance to toast marshmallows on the fire. The Reds had a relaxing movie night and the Blues had an evening of football (soccer) and volleyball.
