Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Daily Camp Blog – 29th July
Today was another of the most anticipated days of camp as campers enjoyed a full-day excursion to the beautiful city of Salzburg. After breakfast, the younger and middle groups departed from camp at around 9:30 a.m., while our oldest campers enjoyed a slightly later start before making their way to the city.
Upon arrival, campers had the opportunity to explore Salzburg, visit its famous streets and landmarks, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy lunch in one of Austria's most historic and picturesque cities. Throughout the day, campers remained in groups and proudly wore their Village Camps T-shirts for easy identification. Our youngest campers were accompanied by their group leaders at all times, while regular meeting points throughout the day ensured that everyone stayed safe and accounted for.
After an enjoyable afternoon discovering the city and making lasting memories, most of the campers returned to camp in the early evening. Following dinner and a short break, they took part in a selection of fun evening activities, including bowling at the camp and a variety of cooperative team games organised by our staff.
Meanwhile, our oldest campers made the most of their extra time in Salzburg by enjoying dinner together in the city, choosing between pizza and burgers before ending the evening with a visit to the bowling alley. It was the perfect way to round off a fantastic day of sightseeing, friendship, and independence in one of Austria's most iconic destinations.
