Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Daily Camp Blog – 28th July
The day began with our usual 7:30 a.m. wake-up, followed by breakfast before campers headed off to another exciting morning of activities. As part of the weekly rotation, each group enjoyed a different adventure. Our oldest girls took part in a stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) session on the lake, guided by experienced instructors, while the youngest campers headed into the mountains to develop their Survival Skills through a series of fun outdoor challenges. Another group travelled to the specialised archery range to practise their aim under expert supervision, while the remaining campers stayed at camp for an indoor climbing session using professional equipment and guided by qualified instructors.
Campers enrolled in the German Language Camp also attended their usual morning lessons with their teachers, continuing to develop their language skills alongside the camp's outdoor programme.
After lunch, everyone enjoyed some well-deserved free time, including the opportunity to use their mobile phones and relax before the afternoon activities began. Campers were then divided into smaller groups, each supported by a group leader, to prepare for one of the camp's favourite evening events: International Night. Each team was challenged to create an original and creative presentation about a famous mountain from a different country, using acting, costumes, music, and plenty of imagination.
In the evening, everyone gathered in the camp cinema to enjoy the performances. Each group proudly presented their chosen mountain in a unique and entertaining way, combining creativity, teamwork, and confidence. The event was filled with laughter, applause, and memorable moments, making it another wonderful evening that celebrated both learning and friendship.
