Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Excursion day
Note: Hello everyone, apologies for the delay in posting yesterdays blog-It is now live and ready to view!
Today our Campers got to leave Leysin and explore the stunning part of Switzerland we are in, immersing themselves in culture, history and lots of shopping!
Our Greens and Yellows set off bright and early to Cailler Chcolaterie, where they learned the rich history of chocolate and even got to sample some of the world's finest chocolate! They then ventured to the beautiful lakeside town of Vevey where they got to shop ‘till they dropped!
Our Reds visited the iconic Olympic Museum (one of the best museums in Switzerland in my opinion) and then got to explore beautiful Lausanne.
The Blues and LTC both went to the Red Cross Museum. Possibly one of the most impactful and powerful museums around, they submerged themselves in the fascinating and heart-wrenching exhibitions on humanity. Afterwards, they had a treat- heading to the famous Montreux Jazz Festival to soak in the atmosphere. LTC ended their day bowling together and having a laugh.
All our campers ended their day with a cosy movie night- taking a breather before their pool day tomorrow!
Happy birthday to our sensational counsellors Circé and Nadjib! Thank you for all you do for Village Camps!
