Olympic Festival Friday!!
Olympic Festival Friday is here! After breakfast all the athletes went to the registration desk to receive their official Olympic shirt.
Blue, Red, Yellow and Green Adventure groups headed outside for Forest Fun and Nature Games. Language, Tennis and STEM Campers continued in their programs for their morning activities, while Performing Arts campers got together to perfect their routines in preparation for the big camp finale!
After the various morning activities, everyone joined together at Prafandaz view point to split into their new found countries and enjoyed a bbq lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, baked potatoes, and juices to refuel before the big games.
At the traditional torch lighting ceremony the torch runners proceeded down the field to the cheering crowd of campers. The games can officially begin.
Our athletes showed off the chants and flags they had all been working so hard on throughout the week and then it was straight into the games. Campers were awarded medals for competing in team events like relay races, tug of war but the games did not end there as back at camp the contest continued with our carnival night where they could win medals playing monster munch, tight rope, hot shots and more!
The athletes can sleep well tonight knowing how incredible everyone did today and keep their fingers crossed for the results!
- Breakfast: French Toast and Maple Syrup, Cereals, Yogurt, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Juices
- Lunch: Barbeque with Burgers, Hotdogs and Salads
- Dinner: Lamb, Couscous, Roasted courgette, Pasta, Salad, Brownies
