Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

10th July 2021

Yay! It's Excursion Day!

Today was a special day as each color group headed off to excursion! The Greenies and Yellows headed to "Le Maison de Cailler", a chocolate factory where campers were taken on an interactive tour to learn the history behind some of Switzerland's most famous chocolate. They were also able to see the full process of chocolate-making and even taste-test a few chocolates themselves! Afterwards, the groups headed to Vevey for a little shopping and returned to camp for dinner and a group movie night.

The Reds spent the day exploring the world famous Olympic Museum in Lausanne. The Museum holds fascinating exhibits and artifacts with everything from original photography, Olympic medals and torches to interactive games. Afterwards they were given free time to explore Lausanne before heading back to camp for dinner and a movie.

The Blues and LTC had an exciting day as well, starting with their trip to the Natural History Museum in Geneva. Following, they explored Geneva and went shopping before heading off to Fun Planet for dinner and bowling.
