Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Happy Swiss National Day!
Today is Swiss National Day and the hills are alive with the sound of traditional Alphorns and high spirited locals celebrating everything that makes this beautiful country so unique!
This morning the campers set aside their alarm clocks and awoke to the customary sound of a Canon salute to mark this special day. After a hearty breakfast the Yellows joined our Climbing specialist Louanne for a morning of climbing at the Quarry while the Reds were busy learning valuable survival skills in the Dell like shelter building and campfire construction.
In the afternoon the campers were given a huge variety of activities to choose from, the Yellows ventured into the mountains to discover a dairy farm and it's delicious home made produce. The Blues joined our archery specialist Naceur and were later "Feeling the Rhythm and Feeling the Rhyme" as they joined our great counsellor Raf for a spot of bobsledding . Elsewhere the Reds were getting wet and wild in the Big Red Mashup as they cooled off with all kinds of crazy water based games.
In the evening the Greens popped on their pajamas and settled in for a slumber party where they were paid a visit from a friendly Teddy bear who dropped by to read them a story.
