Excursion Day!
It's Excursion Day here at VC Leysin and each color group is off to their own destination as they continue to explore Switzerland outside of the Alps!
The Reds and Greens headed out this morning to visit "Le Maison Cailler", home to Switzerland's most famous and treasured Chocolaterie. They were taken on an interactive tour through time, exploring the rich history behind the Cailler brand. They explored everything from the ancient Aztec cocoa rituals to modern day innovations and were able to see the chocolates being created with a walk through the factory floor. At the end they were even able to taste-test a few chocolates themselves! After a picnic lunch, The Reds headed to Lausanne for a little exploration and shopping before returning back to camp.
Meanwhile, the Blues and Yellows were busy exploring "Nest" a museum dedicated to the life and work of Henri Nestle, creator of the world renowned brand "Nestle". After a walk through time following the life of Henri Nestle they enjoyed a mix of interactive games and activities designed to educate and entertain while also learning about the history of Nestle and the advancements of modern manufacturing technologies that lead us to the world we live in today. After the tours, The Yellows went to Vevey to visit a huge shopping mall and the Blues headed to Lausanne for shopping and a night of bowling.
After all the excursion fun it was time to head back to camp for movie night. While The Blues were out bowling, the Greens, Yellows, and Reds all grabbed their duvets and some popcorn to wind down with some movies.

- Dinner: Roasted Turkey, Roasted Potatoes, Cauliflour, Pasta, Salad Bar, Fruit Salad
