Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Air! Water! Fire! Earth!
Today our Greenies started the day off in the Arts and Crafts room making slime balls and getting into Festival Friday fever by face painting and creating colourful flags. Language Camp, Film Academy, and Stem Robotics continued to their classrooms for their morning activities, whilst Dance Camp got together to perfect their dance moves in preparation for the big camp finale!
Sport Camp headed down to the indoor sport center to play dodgeball and badminton. Adventure camp had a fun and educational morning in the shade of the Suchet forest with a session of "Nature Games and Forest Fun" and after all of the morning activities were over it was finally time to kick off FESTIVAL FRIDAY!!!
Just before lunch, campers and counsellors split off into their Elements (Earth, Water, Wind and Fire) and boarded the bus up to Prafandaz view point to enjoy a bbq lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs, baked potatoes, and juices. After our legendary secret friends, the four elements got together to perform choreographed team chants.
The elements spent the afternoon competing against each other in fun field based games including relay races and tug-of-war collecting points to prove which was the strongest earthly element!
The competition didn't end there, our counsellors had been secretly working hard to transform the the whole camp into a Carnival filled with fun parlour games and even more opportunities to win points for their teams. Campers spent their afternoon playing awesome games like Strong Man, Draw the Whales Tail, Oily Pig, Baloon Stomp, Hot Shot and more!
- Breakfast: Fried Eggs, Toast, Assorted Cereals, Yogurt & Fruit!
- Lunch: Village Camps BBQ special of burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, backed potato, donuts, ice tea and juices
- Dinner: Fish fingers, boiled potatoes, steamed spinach, spaghetti aglio e olio, salad bar, rasberry and vanilla ice cream
