Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Chocolate, Mountains & Football Fever!
VC Leysin was a hive of activity today with exciting things happening all day on and off camp!
This morning the Greens started the day with a little creativity making Tie-Dye shirts in the Art room, meanwhile the Yellow and Blue Adventure Campers had an early start as they set off for their overnight excursion to the Mountains. After a tough day hiking hills and conquering mountains both groups would be treated to a delicious BBQ and relaxing evening by the campfire roasting marshmallows before settling in for a peaceful nights sleep in the gorgeous Swiss Alps.
STEM Robotics spent the morning building Robot Snails to compete in the slowest race Leysin has ever seen while our French classes became chocolatiers for the day and spent the morning designing, mixing and making their own chocolate bars!
After lunch the Greens delved into the world of James Bond as they tried to solve the mystery of "who stole the secret friends box" in an exciting game of "Spy Kids".
While the Blue Adventure group pitched their tents and got ready for a night under the stars everyone back at camp prepared themselves for the REAL sporting event of the year in "VC Leysins World Cup" the campers split off into teams and competed against each other to see which team could become this summers football world champions! The Yellow Campers headed up to our favourite sunset view point at Prafandaz for banana boats, ball game and a campfire.
