Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
It's Excursion Day!
This morning all the campers awoke with great excitement for their excursions. The Yellows were down for breakfast first and to make their picnics. They jumped on their coach and headed to the Callier Chocolate Factory. They were given a guided tour and learnt the history behind Callier. They received interactive guides to explain it in various languages and they could scan parts of the tour to listen to certain information. When they arrived at the end of the tour they could taste some of the chocolate products that Callier sell. Afterwards they then could purchase some chocolate to take home. Everyone then gathered for their picnic lunch and then hopped back on the bus to head to Vevey for some shopping time. The Yellows then returned to camp for dinner and then headed downstairs to relax and watch their movie while nibbling on some popcorn.
Meanwhile after the Reds ate breakfast and made their picnic they departed from Leysin and their coach took them to Vevey for the Nest Museum. The Discovery Centre celebrates the 150-year history of Nestle through a spectacular multimedia trip, a trip that starts at the beginning and leads to the future. When the tour had ended the campers headed outside to enjoy their picnic. Afterwards they then jumped back on the coach and drove to Lausanne for shopping and relaxing. They then returned back to camp for dinner and a lovely relaxing evening with popcorn and a movie.
This morning the Blues had a little sleep in and then they headed down for breakfast and picnic making. They also hopped onto their coach and left for Geneva. When they arrived in Coppet they caught a train to the centre of Geneva to visit the old town and also to admire the beautiful Lake Geneva. They had the opportunity to go shopping and relax. Afterwards they were on their coach and heading to Villeneuve. Once they arrived they went straight to Fun Planet were they had a very competitive game of bowling. The Blues also had their dinner there and had the opportunity to participate in various other games that were available before returning back to camp after an exciting day.
