Come Join The Carnival!
Festival Friday is finally here, today the campers split off into their elements (Air, Earth, Water & Fire) to compete against each other and see which one would become the winner of the all camp carnival!
The morning began with Yellows, Blues and Reds heading off to the Forest for some forest fun and nature games while back at camp the Greenies got themselves ready for the competition with some face painting and art in the art room. Just before lunch the whole VC Camp boarded buses and headed up to one of Leysins most famous beauty spots, Prafandaz to begin FESTIVAL FRIDAY!
Upon arrival at Prafandaz a delicious BBQ was served up with donuts for desert and then the games began with campers and counsellors joining their teams to create their chants and cheers which were performed before they all went head to head, competing against each other in relay races and a tug of war.
The competition wasn't over just yet because back at Camp the counsellors were working away to put together an awesome Camp Carnival to give teams even more opportunities to earn points in games like Strong Man, Draw the Whales Tail, Oily Pig, Baloon Stomp, Hot Shot and more. Plus some just for fun artistic activities like Caricature Drawing and Face-Painting!
- Breakfast: Fried eggs, cereals, bread and spreads, fresh fruit, juices
- Lunch: BBQ with Burgers, Hotdogs and all the trimmings and Donuts for desert
- Dinner: Roast salmon, boiled potatoes, steamed spinach, macaroni cheese, salad bar, rasberry and vanilla ice cream
