Festival Friday Fever!
Festival Friday is finally here at Village Camps Leysin!!!
The morning began with Yellows Adventure heading out for some entertaining team building and nature games while Red and Blue Adventure headed to Prafandaz for yoga, slacklining in the forest, frisbee golf, circus games, and rocket launcher! The Greenies made a visit to our Arts and Crafts room to get their face painted and make their personal tie dye T shirts and friendship bracelets. Just before lunch the whole VC Camp boarded buses and headed up to one of Leysins most famous beauty spots, Prafandaz to begin FESTIVAL FRIDAY!
A great afternoon was had by all, a delicious BBQ was served up with donuts for desert and then the games began with campers and counsellors splitting off into teams Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Teams created their chants and cheers which was performed before going head to head while competing against each other in relay races and a tug of war.
The competition continued back at Camp where the counsellors had built a Camp Carnival with teams earning even more points in games like Strong Man, Draw the Whales Tail, Oily Pig, Baloon Stomp, Hot Shot and more. Plus some just for fun artistic activities like Caricature Drawing and Face-Painting!
So much energy, laughter, and team bonding from all the campers and counsellors!!! Thank you all for such a great day :)
- Breakfast: Fried eggs, cereals, bread and spreads, fresh fruit, juices
- Lunch: Village Camps BBQ special of burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, backed potato, donuts, ice tea and juices
- Dinner: Roast salmon, boiled potatoes, steamed spinach, macaroni cheese, salad bar, rasberry and vanilla ice cream
