Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
First day of camp is here!
The bright and sunny weather spell continues! What a great day to start VC Session 2 Summer Camp here in Leysin. The sun has been shining bright and the sky a clear blue for today's activities.
In the morning all the Campers joined their chosen camp academy whether it was sport, adventure, language, media, or tennis camp for the first section of the day. The Yellow, Red, and Blue adventure campers spent their morning in the forest taking on brain teasers, team building exercises and nature games.
The Greenies met with Zoe and friends to take a tour of beautiful Leysin town and then headed on an Animal Safari. Afterwards the Greenies took to the ice and showed off their ice skating skills and tried their hand at Archery with our fantastic Archery specialist Naceur!
The Reds took on The Raging Red Race up in Prafandaz meadows which took a wet turn after water balloons were introduced to the mix. Fun relay games were played which required speed, team work and communication. The Yellows were treated to a tour of the town and a fun afternoon bouldering and playing tennis while the Blues had fun in the sun on a slip and slide baseball game in the ultimate Big Blue Activity.
In the evening it was time for our brave Greenies and Yellows to save our camp in my favourite game "Terminator", it's up to the campers to shut down all the robots before everyone is captured! The Reds spent the evening in the forest playing Survival while the Blues were dodging and weaving in the gym during a friendly game of Dodgeball!
- Breakfast: Pancakes and maple syrup, cereals, bread and spreads, fresh fruit, juices
- Lunch: Spagetti bolognes, spring rolls. soup, salad bar, fruit salad, chocolate forest cake, chocolate mousse
- Dinner: Beef ragu and tofu tomato sauce for vegetarians, polenta, pasta, sauted carrots, coconut chocolate cake, salad bar, fruit
