Preparation day for International Night!
What a great day it has been so far with fun filled activities through the forest, the town, and within the VC building. We are all buzzing for International Night tomorrow, and today we have spent the afternoon getting ready for performances and preparing food!
In the morning the adventurous Greenies returned from their overnight stay at the Mountain Hut, and after a little break to relax and some much deserved lunch, they headed off for a fun game of Mini Golf.
The Yellows spent the morning playing fun Nature Games in the Suchet, learning about the importance of protecting our forests and animal roles and how they survive through camouflage. The Blues spent the morning testing their bravery and balance by heading out of camp to take on the high ropes course up in the tree tops in Aigle.
In the afternoon, all of our campers split off into their Nationality groups to begin preparation for "International Night". Our campers spent their time preparing funny and informative skits which they will perform tomorrow night, while others headed to the Village Camps kitchen to work on preparing meals for the International Night buffet that will be filled with delicious traditional foods from all over the world. A massive United Nations game of capture the flag was also hosted in the Suchet for half of the nationality groups!
After dinner, all colour groups came together for their evening activities. Greens enjoyed their version of the Olympics, the Yellows took on Dodgeball at the town gym, the Reds went down to the Suchet for an epic game of Murder Mystery, and the Blues relaxed with popcorn and snacks at Movie Night.
- Breakfast: Boiled eggs, cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit
- Lunch: Vegetarian lasagne, pesto gnocci, pasta, tomato sauce, salad bar and blueberry muffins
- Dinner: Roasted turkey, potato logs, sauted vegetables, pasta, tomato sauce, salad bar, carrot and celery soup
