Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Rain rain go away, please come back another day!
It may be raining here in Leysin, but we are still having a great day at Camp!
The morning started off with the Greenies boarding a bus and heading to the Zoo where they saw many different types of animals from all over the world. The first half of the day was spent playing in the play ground, touring the main zoo campus where they saw lions, tigers, reindeer, peacocks, wild boar among so much more! After a picnic lunch they were treated to another tour where they saw penguins being fed, reptiles, large komodo dragons, crocodiles, insects, tropical birds and large tortoises.
Although it was meant to be pool day, the weather came in pretty hard which changed plans for indoor sport activities for the Blues, Reds and Yellows. The Blues joined their Blue leader counsellor for gym games and ended their day swimming and relaxing in the local Leysin spa. The Reds played various types of pitch games at the sports complex, followed by dodgeball craziness. The Yellows took part in one of our favourite camp games, Squirrels and played in the VC building, various rotational team games.
To finish the day, all the colour groups headed off for a great boogey at the DISCO! DISCO! DISCO!
Thank you to all the Campers for keeping positive and bright!
