Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Excursion Day!
Its a brilliant day for excursions as the sun the shining here in Leysin. Everyone set of in high spirits for their destination. The Greens and Yellows skipped onto their bus and headed for Broc to venture into the Cailler Chocolaterie were they had a tour of the chocolate making process. They then had the opportunity to taste and purchase some chocolate. After their picnic lunch they then arrived in Vevey to go shopping. When they returned to camp everyone settled down for a movie and some yummy popcorn.
The Reds left camp on their bus and traveled down to Lausanne to visit the Olympic Museum which is an interactive and multimedia museum. Afterwards they then headed into Lausanne and found the perfect spot right beside Lake Geneva for their picnic. They then had the opportunity to go shopping before taking the journey back to camp. The reds then came back to camp and retired to watch a movie and enjoyed some popcorn.
The Blues jumped on their bus and took a trip to Geneva to visit the United Nations - Palais des Nations. They received a guided tour which informed them about the current activities of the United Nations. They also talk about the history of the Palais des Nations, formerly the headquarters of the League of Nations. Once they finished the tour they then went to have their picnic and to do some shopping around Geneva. Afterwards they then head to Fun Planet to play bowling and various other games available, they then headed back to camp this evening.

- Dinner: Roast Beef, Roast Potatoes, Cauliflower, Pasta, Pasta Sauces, Salad Bar, Fruit Salad, Donuts
