Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
The Sun is Breaking Through!
It has been cloudy all day however the sun managed to peeked through in the evening which meant that we had beautiful views of the sun setting for all the campers at the campfires.
The morning activities started after breakfast, the Language campers had a chance to get out of the classroom and go out on an excursion to some very interesting military bunkers which are not usually open to the public. The Dance campers have been working really hard on their performance that is going to be seen by everyone on Prom Night. The Greenies got creative in the art room by making tie dye t-shirts. The Adventure campers had a morning of challenging activities including tree climbing, team building games and assault courses. The Sports campers enjoyed playing Tennis or Squash then jumped in the pool to cool off then into the steam room to relax.
The afternoon activities started with the Green campers trekking through the beautiful Swiss mountains to a mountain hut where they will stay the night. The Yellows headed down to Old Sport Centre, laced up their ice skating boots then took to the ice. The Red and Blue campers had a choice of many different activities, from cooking to climbing and many more such as mini golf, tennis, swimming, dance and archery.
After a lovely evening meal the Yellows played Extreme games, they played in teams to earn points by completing challenges. The Reds and Blues both had Campfires but in different places. The Reds headed up to Prafandaz and the Blues walked over to Fabiola, they both enjoyed roasting marshmallows and eating chocolate filled bananas.
