Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Pool Day
Sunday is pool day, all the campers travel down from Leysin to Aigle by Cog Train to enjoy a long day at the pool. On Sunday all the campers have a little longer in bed, which is also was appreciated and it sets the mood for a relaxing day.
After breakfast the Greens, Yellows and Reds walked to the train station to catch the train, shortly followed by the Blues a little later in the day. The Cog Train descends over one thousand metres on its journey to Aigle with the steepest gradient being 23%.
All the kids are free to relax once they are inside the pool and there is loads to keep them entertained. There is a diving board, a climbing wall that overhangs the pool, volleyball, basketball, mini golf and loads of space to just chill out with friends or maybe a good book.
Once everyone was finished at the pool we all walked back to the station to catch the train back up to Leysin in time to enjoy some free time then dinner at 6. The evening activities started a little while after the meal, the Greens and Yellows had a movie night and the Reds and Blues went down to the pitch to play football/soccer and other team games.
It was a well deserved relaxing day had by all and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
