Summer Camp England

3rd July 2019

International night prep and much more

Fourth day of camp and the adventure continues! Golf and horse riding campers were the first to breakfast and left to their respective sites, while football and basketball played and trained all morning. Adventure was divided into hiking and climbing and our juniors were taken to the museum for an exciting morning of learning. LTC and English continued with their classes on-site.

After lunch, our Creative Arts coordinator displayed some of the amazing works of her students in our reception hall for everyone to see. At our 3 PM meeting, some of the campers were charged by the Kangaroo Court for losing their wristbands!! We remind campers how important it is to wear them at all times ;) The campers then enjoyed touch rugby, bootcamp, table tennis and street hockey, among others.

Before dinner, our campers joined many other activities like music, street dance, cooking, creative cartoon... And our VCTV members conducted some interviews around the campus and asked different questions to their fellow campers. We can't wait to see the results of their amazing work! Also, our Performing Arts campers went off-site to enjoy a fantastic performance of Greece. Amazing!

The evening programme began at the theatre, were the campers were able to choose a country or nation to join for international night. After been sent to different locations, the teams had to decide a national dish they will be cooking next Tuesday for the whole camp, and some volunteers took responsibility for recreating their nation's flag. The rest of each team's members began preparing a 3 minute performance in which they will show some of their countries' traditions, like their national music, dance, sport... everything has a place in international night!
