Summer Camp England
New beginnings
After a fantastic arrivals day, our campers were ready for a new day full of activities, starting with a scrumptious breakfast at 7:30 AM. The campers were then divided by programmes and introduced to their respective coordinators. Golfers and riders were the first to leave and meet their locations for the Summer, while the rest of the activities were carried out in-site.
The football and basketball teams began their training straight away! And they demonstrated some fantastic skills, we can't wait to see how much they learn during the next weeks. The English students proved to be a lovely group, eager to practice and improve their language skills :) Our Leadership programme campers learnt the basics of body language and Performing Arts already began dancing, singing AND acting! Finally, Creative Arts created their own characters and our most adventurous campers were divided into groups and encouraged to come up with a fun name and war paint design. There was paint everywhere! And we can't forget our junior campers and their adventure team name... Red Fox!
After lunch we conducted our 3 PM all camp meeting and explained the rules of camp to everyone. To make sure everyone understood, we had some students translate the rules into the different languages at camp, contributing to create a highly inclusive international environment. We also had an exclusive fashion show to display the Village Camps official merchandising, available for students to purchase at any time.
In the afternoon and evening programmes, the different color leaders organized a large array of ice-breaking and teamwork activities for everyone. From tomorrow on, campers will be able to choose from a selection of activities every afternoon, so let the fun begin!
