Summer Camp England

24th July 2012

Week 2!

Week 2 has started off well, with glorious sunshine for the past two days! All the campers got happily stuck into their morning programmes after the weekend break. On Monday Activity and Adventure went on an excursion to Krypton Assault Course, they spent the morning doing a time challenge, to see who get around the course in the fastest time, the winning time was 21 minutes and 33 seconds! They came back for Session D with great reports of the day! The English Programme took some of their classes outside to enjoy the sun, and prepared some postcards to send home to their families. Creative Arts also spent the morning outside, wandering round the campus and doung some real life drawings of what they saw! In the afternoon campers were offered many activities, ranging from swimming to t-shirt decorating! For evening programmes we were split into our colour groups, yellows played activites on the sports fields, reds had their pool party and the blues were also outside playing the favourite camp games of Kunkin and Mission Impossible! Tuesday has also been a brilliant day so far! The basketball programme spent the morning in the sports hall practising dribbling, fitness, free throws and some offensive plays. Our football programme had a Barcelona Training day with coach Neil and are headed off on their excursion tomorrow to visit Old Trafford Stadium. Performing Arts have been putting together ideas for their show which is on Thursday and have started their rehearsals! Most of the Activities have also been preparing for their excursions tomorrow, but none more so than Activity and Adventure who have been packing for their camp out tomorrow night! Our evening programme tonight is International Night, everyone is very excited to start cooking and preparing skits to represent their countries! It promises to be a fun and educational evening!
