Summer Camp England

31st July 2010

Excursion Day to Manchester

Saturday had come around and the first excursion day of the weekend. It was time for everyone on camp to go to Manchester for a day out. The Yellows spent the first part of the day around the huge Trafford centre shopping, buying souvenirs and food. They then moved onto Chill Factor, a big indoor ski centre where they went tubing and tobogganing. The Reds and Blues grouped together for the day, upon arrival they went to ten pin bowling centre in Trafford. Once the kids were set up, the staff had a competition to see who were the best, the Red house won by 4 pins in the end. It was all down to Cris-Tina who scored the highest score.

After that they were let loose around the shopping centre and arcades enjoying the freedom. Once the meeting times were met and shopping continued they met once again to go to the cinema and watch a film. During this the Yellows began their departure back to QE after some dinner in the food court and then a movie once back in the common room before bed and lights out.

The Reds and Blues after the cinema met and got food for themselves before heading on the coach for the final departure and the end so a relax day for some, plus hectic for those who brought too much shopping.
