Big Day

On Friday, Village Camps hosted the world famous BIG DAY!!! In the morning the campers carried out their usual morning activities but at the same time were mentally preparing themselves for what was going to be an exhilarating yet exhausting series of relays and games associated with BIG DAY. The whole camp was split into 4 different teams;
*The Greens; whose theme was Indiana Jones
*The Reds; whose theme was Star Wars
*The Blues; whose theme was The Mighty Ducks
*The Whites; whose theme was Rocky.

On Thursday, the teams were given the opportunity to devise an entry performance for BIG DAY that would "wow" the crowd; and this time was most certainly used wisely as the entry performances of each team were fantastic. The Red team focussed on the idea of Star Wars by re-enacting the war between Luke Skywalker and Dark Vader; The White team did an excellent rendition of Rocky's training process; The Green Team, alongside their wonderful props gave a great performance depicting Indiana Jones's adventures; However the Blue Team stole the show with their haunting and fearless entry dance.

Following the entrances, came a series of relays that required teamwork and cooperation amongst everyone involved, this camaraderie inspired spontaneous chanting and cheering which added up to a wonderful atmosphere in the room. In the evening, BIG DAY concluded with a Kunkin tournament, a game that tests one's speed and also one's mind. As the results were being announced, tension and excitement was high, and even though all teams gave 100% to the activities involved the Green team came out on top and will be rewarded with a Pizza Party on Monday evening.
Yet again another fantastic BIG DAY!!!
