Summer Camp Ardèche, France
Last day in the Ardeche!
Today was the last day for our campers in the beautiful Ardeche! We all had a delicious breakfast and headed off to the different morning activities. The Frenchies had their last French class, where they finished preparing the skits for the evening. The River campers chose among the different choice activities: some participated in a Yoga session, others decided to help preparing the Talent Show and the VC Obstacle Course, and the rest learned basic photography skills.
Later, all the little dudes gathered together to start the VC Obstacle Course! The River teams and French teams were ready to overcome all challenges! It was an afternoon full of fun, laughs, running around and overcoming different cool challenges and tasks. It was an intense battle, with no clear advantage, until the very end.. Congrats Frenchies!
The campers then got ready for the last dinner. Doug, our chef, prepared for us an amazing strawberry and mango salad, followed by magret canard covered in blueberry sauce or pork in mustard sauce, with gratin potatoes as a side. Yummy!
The dinner was followed by certificates time, where all campers received a friendly cert to recognize their efforts and progress. We all then enjoyed a nice evening of Talent Show, led by two very entertaining hosts: Javier and Josh.. in French!
Before bedtime we all gathered around to share our favourite memories of the session, how much everyone had grown, the good friends we had found or simply a funny memory that would make us all laugh. It was a lovely evening, a perfect way for everyone to say good bye to these two weeks of adventure and fun.
