This camp programme is provided in collaboration with Leysin Tennis, who offer a dynamic and innovative approach providing each player with an unforgettable Swiss tennis experience.
Director and Head Coach Christine Suard brings over 20 years of coaching experience in Switzerland, Europe, the United States and the Emirates. Our campers benefit from her vast experience - she currently trains several top-10 Swiss junior players in Leysin who are now competing internationally, and has been training our campers for over 15 summers.
Christine directs a team of experienced Swiss and international coaches and sport experts that share a real passion for tennis. The team runs a well-established, successful programme that brings out the very best in each player with campers and coaches sharing fun and lots of laughter.
We begin each session with an assessment of each player, based on ability, age and their personal goals. For 3-hours each weekday morning, we set out to challenge each player in order to maximise their individual potential. During the two-week session players may move between categories as they make progress.
Players are divided into three general categories:
Club – (age 10-17 years) Designed for beginner and intermediate levels, this category focuses on developing core tennis techniques and tactical skills, fitness, match play and a love for the game. Christine and her team are recognized nationally for their “Green” tennis programme that encourages younger campers to develop their love for the game of tennis!
Competition – (age 10-17 years) Designed for advanced players who are competing in tournaments in their home country. The programme is challenging with high-intensity tennis games, as well as physical conditioning and mental strength training. A highlight of this programme is a competitive match-play with some of Switzerland’s top junior players!
Green – (age 7-9 years) This is based on the award-winning Kids Tennis High School programme by Swiss Tennis, of which Christine Suard is a national representative. Using an adapted court, balls and materials, campers learn to play tennis through a fun, motivating and team-oriented programme.

There is a variety of afternoon and evening activities both in Camp and outdoors, which campers from all programmes participate together. These all camp activities are organised and supervised by Village Camp counsellors.

Choose from the available specialty programme and combine it with professional tennis instruction from VC’s top coach, Christine Suard! This additional option allows those that are passionate for tennis to combine their language, art, or multi-sports morning programme with qualified afternoon tennis instruction.
Our highly qualified head-coach has developed a fantastic and innovative tennis programme which has three different categories from beginners to highly trained club players. We wanted to give the opportunity to all campers regardless of programme (Adventure excluded) to opt for an additional 3 hours of tennis instruction in the afternoons!
In the evenings, campers join their peers who have been on afternoon activities for engaging evening programmes which will, at times incorporate the whole camp and other times be age group dependent.
