Daily Camp Blog – 25th July
Today began with a slightly later wake-up, giving campers the chance to enjoy some extra rest before one of the most special adventures of the week. After breakfast, everyone took time to tidy and clean their rooms. Campers whose rooms passed inspection were rewarded with some free time, including the opportunity to use their mobile phones before preparing for the afternoon's exciting excursion.
Once backpacks and sleeping bags were packed, the groups set off towards the mountains. After travelling on several cable cars, campers reached the starting points of their hikes. The groups followed different routes, each carefully adapted to the age and ability of the campers, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the experience safely while taking in the spectacular Alpine scenery.
Throughout the day, campers explored the mountains, admired the breathtaking landscapes, spotted local wildlife, and captured plenty of memorable photos along the way. After a scenic hike, each group arrived at its traditional mountain hut, where they enjoyed lunch and spent the afternoon playing games with their group leaders, relaxing together, and making the most of this unique experience in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Some groups even had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional campfire, making the afternoon even more special.
As evening approached, campers were treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets of the camp, watching the sun disappear behind the surrounding mountain peaks from an altitude of over 2,000 metres. It was a truly magical moment that everyone will remember for years to come.
After an unforgettable day surrounded by nature, fresh mountain air, and spectacular views, campers settled into their mountain huts for the night, ready for another day of adventure in the Alps.
