Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Daily Camp Blog – 21st July
The day began with our usual 7:30 a.m. wake-up, followed by breakfast and the morning meeting before campers headed off to another exciting day of activities. During the morning, groups continued completing cycling and swimming assessments to ensure everyone was fully prepared to take part safely and confidently in the many outdoor adventures planned for the rest of the camp.
After lunch, campers enjoyed some well-deserved free time, including the opportunity to use their mobile phones to relax and catch up with their families before setting off on the afternoon excursion.
The highlight of the day was our visit to Sigmund Thun Klamm, where campers enjoyed a beautiful walk through one of Austria's most spectacular gorges. Following the impressive wooden walkways alongside the rushing water, the hike led us to a stunning mountain lake. There, campers could cool off with a refreshing swim or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings from the nearby café.
We returned to camp at around 6:00 p.m., just in time for dinner and a short period of free time. To round off the day, everyone gathered in the sports hall for a fun evening activity featuring a large team game that combined cooperation, strategy, and friendly competition. It was the perfect way to end another fantastic day filled with adventure, teamwork, and great memories.
