Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Daily Camp Blog – 12th July
After spending a memorable night in the mountains, campers woke up at around 7:30 a.m. in their different mountain huts, each located at a different altitude. Following a hearty breakfast, everyone packed their belongings and prepared for the journey back down the mountain.
At around 8:00 a.m., the descent began. As the groups made their way down the scenic trails, they gradually met up with one another along the route. There were several well-earned breaks to rest, drink water, and take in the breathtaking surroundings. Along the way, many campers were delighted to spot marmots, one of the region's most iconic Alpine animals, making the hike even more memorable.
By midday, all groups had reached the bottom of the mountain, where coaches were waiting to take everyone back to camp. A well-deserved lunch was ready upon arrival, followed by some time to relax, shower, and recover after the adventure.
The afternoon offered a wide variety of activities for campers to enjoy, including swimming, water slides, football, basketball, volleyball, card games, and many other recreational activities around the campus. It was the perfect opportunity to unwind while continuing to have fun with friends.
Dinner was served at 6:00 p.m., after which campers enjoyed some free time, including the opportunity to use their mobile phones. To finish the day, everyone gathered together for a cosy Movie Night in a specially prepared room, bringing another fantastic day at camp to a relaxing and enjoyable close.
- Breakfast: Bread with cold cuts, yogurt, cereal, and milk
- Lunch: Chicken and vegetable rice, served with a salad and sponge cake for dessert.
- Dinner: Potato gnocchi with marinated turkey loin and mushroom sauce, served with a salad and a mixed-berry pudding for dessert.
