Salzburg: A Camp Story
Hello dear readers! Today, our campers went on an exciting trip far from camp—to Salzburg!
We began the day with breakfast and packed lunches, then hit the road! The Yellow and Red groups visited Hellbrunn Palace, one of the filming locations for The Sound of Music. They got a little wet thanks to the palace’s famous trick fountains, and afterward enjoyed a sunny picnic in the gardens.
Meanwhile, the Blue group explored another iconic filming location—Mirabell Gardens, also featured in the movie! Later, all campers reunited in the city center of Salzburg, where they had two hours of shopping. Our camp photographer spotted plenty of smiling faces—and plenty of souvenirs that are definitely coming home!
In the evening, we said goodbye to the Blues as they headed off to a secret surprise activity: bowling night, complete with pizza and burgers for dinner!
Back at camp, our Yellow and Red campers weren’t left out of the fun. They returned to a delicious BBQ dinner, followed by EGGstream games and an entertaining trivia night. What a delightful day of discovery, shopping, and fun!
