Summer Camp VDC Geneva
Camp is in full swing on the second day of Session Two.
It was yet another hot morning as the campers arrived this morning as camp got well under way.
The SA groups spent the whole day in Signal de Bougy playing mini golf and swinging on ropes between the trees which they enjoyed thoroughly. A good day out!
The 4s took a boat ride from Coppet to Nyon where the air was slightly cooler and refreshing on the water, followed by a play in the Jungle Gym down in Nyon. Both the 8s and 9s went to Trelex where they hiked through the woods and made houses out of sticks and branches for the fairies living there!
In the afternoon, the 6s and SB1 went off to the pool to splash about/relax to cool off/look cool. Finally, SC1 went kayaking near Chambesy.
On campus some venues were moved outside such as Dance and Gym but the children liked doing their activities out in the open with the light breeze to help cool them down. Mini and normal Arts & Crafts saw plenty of creative designs in making animals and signs for the groups. Music saw the children get stuck into the new songs and in Drama there were all sorts of good mini performance pieces going on.
A good second day and the second session is up and running. We're expecting a slightly cooler day tomorrow.
