Summer Camp VDC Geneva

7th August 2012

Fun in the sun!

After yesterday's cold, damp and rainy start to Session Three, today began with an incredibly bright and sunny day. This was a good thing because we had a very busy day planned for our campers!

There were many different activities on camp - the seniors were very busy making boomerangs; the 5s, inspired by Olympic gymnastics, practiced their somersaults in Gym 1 with Sara and Selas; the 8s had a sporty day -gymnastics, sports outside on Luna field and the afternoon in Trelex. Seniors were busy composing their own musical pieces with Ashley in the music room!

Village Camps had a busy day off site as well - SA1 were up at Signal de Bougy doing the ropes course; the 6s spent the first part of their day in the indoor swimming pool with Holly and Katie, and then went to the Zoo de La Garenne. The 7s went to the zoo as well for their first time. They saw wolves, birds, lizards and scary snakes and thoroughly enjoyed it! The 4s, breathless in their anticipation for their boat ride, made fishes-on-sticks, before heading off on the steam boat to Nyon.

And to top it all off - snack today was delicious - lemon cake and banana - a favourite with everyone!
