Summer Camp VDC Geneva
Day 2 at Village Day Camps
The sun is shining; the clouds look like they won't be coming anytime soon. What a great start to the second day of camp! Today many groups left camp nice and early for their respective trips. The SA1s and SA2s went off to Signal de Bougy to swing from one tree to the next in the Parc Aventure and then to play some mini golf. The 9s went off to the forest in Trelex to see what they could find. The 6s went to discover the magical world of the Botanical Gardens full of lily-pads and exotic flowers and plants. The 4s went on the magnificent steam boat called Simplon, all the way to Nyon, where they enjoyed the playground by the port.
The groups at camp got to enjoy the variety of activities our specialists have to offer. There were the 5s pretending to fly in drama, some 7s jumping high in the air, many groups did pottery and different arts and crafts. SB2 spent the morning making their very own boomerangs and got to test them in the field.
In the afternoon, the SB1, SB2, SC1 and the 6s went to the pool. It might have been a little cold with the clouds covering the sun, but they all had a fantastic time playing in the water. Finally, the 8s went to Trelex and made houses for the fairies that live in the forest!
After such an action packed day, we are looking forward to some rest tonight in order to be prepared for another day full of excitement!
