Summer Camp Santa Cruz, Portugal
Capture the flag and capture the waves!
On todays Saturday-morning the campers got to be very active! Our surf campers showed a lot of enthusiasm and dedication when heading to their lesson straight after an early breakfast. They were met and rewarded with remarkable waves during, and got to show off their progress!
In the meantime, our adventurers were introduced to surfing as well, went longboarding or practiced their outdoor living skills. How long can one survive without oxygen? What about water? Shelter? Feel free to ask our experts: the Adventuregroup!
Our morning activities were followed by a game the campers had all been awaiting since they had spotted it on our schedule: Capture the flag!
The motivation and team spirits were high within Team Red and Green, when heading to our location where the flags would be hidden, waiting to be captured by the opposite team. The goal was to locate the hiding place of the flag, capture it and cross the line dividing the fields without being tapped out. After a very exciting game, Team Green was declared the happy winner!
After dinner it was time to have our very own version of the Euro Cup, representing some of our counsellors nationalities: Spain, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Austria and Slovenia. After the group stages, the excitement was in the air for finishing the semi final and the grand finale tomorrow.
