Summer Camp Santa Cruz, Portugal
And so the last day has arrived
Good morning!
And so the last day has arrived. The last day of first session of Village Camps Santa Cruz 2019 edition.
Day started as usual with a delicious breakfast prepared by our amazing Pousada cooks. It was a bit sad morning and you could see that even weather turned bad for a moment. Packing was our first activity of the day which made our campers realize that the fun they had in this past days had come to and end. But we left this sad moments away for one more day because it was time for all the campers to gather in the lobby and do a special edition of our favorite all camp meeting activity secret friends where the messages kept saying beautiful things about our camp and campers. What a perfect way to end secret friends. Of course every camper got their certificate and we also had to mention some honorable campers and hand them some awards for their amazing participation in the camp. We ended our morning with a video that summarized all our summer camp memories.
After lunch campers had some time to recharge and do their afternoon activities for the last time. As usual we divided our campers into surfers and adventures. Surfers were headed to the beach where they got the opportunity to shred a truly awesome beginner swell which gave them the perfect waves for a Village Camps surf competition. Adventure campers were of to do the same activities as yesterday. First group visited a Pool Splash where they were enjoying some water games. Second group was off to do paddle boarding and kayaking and third group went to shred the streets of Santa Cruz on their long boards.
When the campers arrived back to Pousada it was time for dinner. After dinner it was time for...drum roll....DISCOOO PARTYYYY!! Our campers all dressed up and looked especially beautiful for this special occasion. At exactly 9pm our disco opened the doors for visitors and Pousada was empty in one second. You could hear the music, see the disco light and feel the fantastic atmosphere full of dancing, smiling and singing. What a night. Amazing.
Sad to say this was our last night together with our campers that made this past two weeks really special. Thank you for everything. You will be missed. Hope to see all of you guys next year.
